CDS was founded in 2010 by a team of industry-leading professionals who dedicated more than four years to develop Clinical Studio (and now TrialKit) to deliver technology tools that radically cut the cost of research. MEET THE TEAM
Founder and CEO
Paul Grady, B.A., is a software and database developer with over three decades of experience in every area of clinical research technology. Mr. Grady has started and successfully exited four other clinical technology companies. Summit Medical Systems, Acumen Healthcare Solutions LLC, Clinsights, Inc., MedNet Solutions, Inc. His experience as an entrepreneur and vast knowledge as a web developer and database architect, has provided invaluable insights and a unique perspective on the challenges of clinical trials. Coupled with his passion for technology, Paul brings innovation and disruptive change to the clinical trials landscape.
Leigh J. Mack, MD, PhD, FAPCR, CPI
Dr. Mack is a Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) with the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) and a Fellow of the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research. He teaches American Medical Association (AMA) Category 1 Continuing Medical Education (CME) for the ACRP on Cloud-Based Clinical Trials. He has over 10 years of marketing and sales experience and most recently was the Lead Research Physician with American Biotech Labs. He has also been a consultant for other biotech companies. Dr. Mack proudly served seven years as a combat arms soldier and officer in the US Army National Guard.
Melchizedek Mauleon, B.S., has 20 years of Information Technology (IT) experience, including 12 years in the medical research industry. Before coming to CDS, Melchizedek worked in software programming, system integration, and system, database, and network administration. Melchizedek manages all IT-related matters, ensuring optimal function of the software and striving to make TrialKit and Clinical Studio the most technologically advanced platforms on the market.
VP Product Management
Cody Wilke, B.A.S., began his clinical research career as a study coordinator and brings foundational knowledge of what clinical sites need to facilitate and streamline data collection. He has a dedicated interest in technology, software, and how it translates to the user needs and experience. Cody is an integral part of day-to-day operations, managing the development of Crucial Data Solutions products as well as supporting customer success.
Director of Operations
Laura Moebus, B.A., has a strong background in operations and administration and 20 years of experience in the clinical research industry. She has been an essential part of the Crucial Data Solutions team for over five years and is directly responsible for human resources, financial management, and strategic planning. Laura’s dependability and thoroughness keep CDS and its staff working efficiently every day.
Director of Client and Mobile Services
Paul Fadden, B.S., has over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical and medical device research and development, helping companies conduct their clinical trials and achieve organizational goals. He has also assembled several client services departments from the ground up. Today, he leads the Client and Mobile Services Team, supporting over 1,000 CDS clients worldwide and delivering quality services, technology, and support.
Director of Marketing
Carley Allison, B.A., B.S., oversees all CDS marketing initiatives, including content creation and social media management, branding and advertising, and more. Her eye for detail and big-picture perspective have made her a natural for her role in marketing. Carley’s primary focus is to continually increase brand awareness to help drive business results. An adept researcher, she also keeps abreast of industry trends and challenges and provides business intelligence to the company.
